Dragon Arms update...

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 6, 2012, 12:50 PM

To anyone looking forward to the next Dragon Arms series, this news is for you. I'm sorry, but Dragon Arms is on hold for the foreseeable future. Due to the sales on the first issue I've decided that the book shouldn't come out right now.

Does that mean this is the end for Dragon Arms? No, of course not. The first thought that comes to mind for me is doing something online, releasing  the pages as a webcomic. I will keep you updated on that front, as it seems most likely. In the meantime, I'm looking for some work. I've got my feelers out and I might have some Archie work lined up, I'll let you know how that goes! I've already had some good outside work recently, so hopefully I'll find some steady income. I don't like it, I'd rather work on my own stuff, but Dragon Arms just isn't capturing the retailer's imagination. Perhaps presenting it to an online audience will generate some interest!

Again, I'm sorry this isn't coming out when it was originally going to. Meanwhile, it's more steampunk and zombies for me!

Thanks for reading!

How about selling this via Comixology? AP already has a presence on there, so why not go to a direct-to-digital edition instead of a webcomic? If it sells well digitally then you can go to the retailers with the collected edition?

I was looking on ordering it here in my country. Lemme know if the webcomic is up I'll do my best to spread it around ^^.

I'm sorry to hear about the low sales on the first issue. Good on possible job leads, though!

I fail at doing webcomics as I hate doing them all by my lonesome self. I'm finishing my novel tonight so I hope that will serve me better than comics did. I am just far happier writing my own stories than working on other people's ideas... and it seems as if it's more miss than hit in the comic industry.

Sorry to hear the retailers didn`t go with it. I`m still waiting to get a hold on the first issue (hasn`t showed up on the AP site) but I`m glad to know Dragon Arms will find a new way to present itself and that it will surely eat up anything else out there :)

Good luck with all the endeavours!
